Attention Seniors
If you have a free 4th period and have solid math skills, the AVID Program needs peers tutors.  You can get a letter grade for being a tutor which could help your GPA.  Interested? See Mr. Norman in Room A217.

Attention Winter Sports Athletes!
Your teams have already begun Strength and Conditioning workouts in the weight room after school. Check sanmateoathletics.org for more information or see Coach Labbie for more details. See you after school.

Guess Passes for Homecoming
Homecoming is on October 8, 2016.  Guest passes are now available on school loop and the website.  They are due by Monday, September 26.

We have four colleges coming to visit us this week.  Do you want to learn more about careers in Fashion, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or something similar?  Stop by the Career Center, tomorrow during tutorial to meet with the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.  On Friday we will be visited by Syracuse University during tutorial and St. Mary’s College of California during lunch.  Seniors considering community college, Skyline College will be here today during lunch.  If you’re interested in any of these visits, please stop by the Career Center to pick up a pass and to learn more.

Target Retail Store is Hiring!
Come to the Quad @ lunch Tomorrow to pick up an application and learn about the position.  You must be 16 years old. 
Black Student Union
Tomorrow at lunch come to A219 for great conversation, play card games, and find out about volunteer opportunities. All students are welcome!

GATE Students
What do Bill Gates, Wilt Chamberlain, and Charles Schulz have in common?  Not much, but they each play Bridge, a card game that teaches probability, inferences, problem solving, and teamwork.  If you like puzzles, math, or playing cards, come to a brief meeting Tomorrow at lunch in A216 to find out how you can learn the mind sport of Bridge.

Peer Tutors
If you currently are a peer tutor, you must attend a peer tutor training Tomorrow, during tutorial upstairs in Biotech. Attendance for peer tutors is mandatory!

Improv Club  Meeting and Auditions

Forget about taco Tuesday! Join the music boosters for Fiesta Thursday at Celia's Mexican Restaurant on Peninsula Ave in Burlingame! This Thursday, Sept 15 from 4pm to 10pm Celia's will donate 10% of your check to Bearcat Music programs.  See your favorite music or choral student for a flyer!

Get a taste of improv before auditions this Thursday @ lunch in the PAC Lobby!

Are you interested in wrestling?
Not sure what the sport is all about.  Come out to the small gym this Friday during lunch and check out a live demonstration.  There will also be an informative meeting this Friday after school in room E115.  Can't make it after school, come talk to Mrs. Cervantes in Student Service's Office.
