Attention Seniors

  • Graduation Speeches: Imagine your special day - Graduation day! You have the opportunity to turn in a graduation speech to address your class and be chosen to give it on that special day!  If you are interested in this see Mrs. Cervantes for details.
  • Graduation Entertainment: IF you are interested in performing at the ceremony, see Mr. Gelb or Mrs. Cervantes in A130 (Student Services). You will need to get approval to perform by the VAPA teachers and meet the deadline dates.
  • Applications for extra tickets to graduation are now available in Student Services Office.  It is first come, first serve.

SMHS Staff Appreciation Week April 11-15  Volunteers and Donations Needed!
Get ready to show our love through a fun week of activities and good food for our wonderful San Mateo High teachers and staff.  There are many ways for families to participate.  Last year over 400 families made this week a success.

Dance Team Try-outs
Want to join Dance Team? Come to tryouts Today, April 5-7th at 3:30 in the dance room.  Make sure to print out a tryout packet and bring to the first day of tryouts. If you have any questions please see either Jiwon Choi, Hana Okai or Chelsea Young.

Are you ready to get hyped? Come out to our positivity Rally on Wednesday, April 6th.  Don’t forget to wear your color that will be assigned in 4th period.  See you on the sunny side!

Student Ambassadors from Education for Fair Consideration will be here on Wednesday, April 6th during tutorial to present information on the Dream Act, DACA, Careers and the best ways to get the most out of your college experience.  All grades are invited, please come to the Career Center to pick up your pass. 

Intermural Football
Sign up for Football Intramurals in the main Gym. Football starts at the spring break.  Only 3 Football players per team, there will be 2 leagues.

Sock Drive
The BSU is having a sock drive to support the San Mateo Homeless Shelter and Glide Memorial Church. All donations can be left w/Student services.

Chalkfest Signups
Sign-ups and meeting at lunch will be on Wednesday, April 6 in M130. 

Prom Dress Drive
Do you need a prom dress? Or have one that you’d like to donate? Come to the main office to drop off or pick up a dress for free.

A Message from The Health Office
Students who are in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program can purchase discounted SamTrans bus tickets for the month of April. Please see Mrs. Hickey in the Health Office, A116.
