The Jennifer Nathan Travel Scholarship
Attention sophomores and juniors, are you interested in earning a grant to travel the globe this summer to learn about foreign cultures?  Would you like to see the world for free?  Then you should apply for the Jennifer Nathan Travel Scholarship!  Stop by the Career Center to pick up an application and to learn more.  Completed applications are due on Friday, February 24th.

Art Show Wednesday
Come to the art gallery at lunch Today for a last-chance viewing of the district art show! Show close on Friday! All are invited! Gallery opens from 12-1. The gallery is across from Biotech in the M Building.

Mock Trial Info
The 18-member team advances to semi-finals next week. Come see them perform at the South San Francisco Courthouse at 5:30pm Tonight. See you in court!

Filipino Club Tpumps Fundrasier
Come Support the Filipino Club and buy drinks for a good cause! We are selling Tpumps Tomorrow, February 16th@ the spirit lawn for $4. All proceeds go to the Red Cross.

1st Annual Certificate/Vocational Fair
Students you are invited to attend our 1st annual Certificate/Vocational Fair scheduled for Tomorrorw, February 16th @ lunchtime in the MPR.  Explore many career pathways including Early Childhood Development, Digital Arts Animation, Medical Assisting, EMT, Biotech, Automotive, Radiology Technology, Hospitality Tourism Management, Fashion, Trades, US Military branches, Sutter Health and many more. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about different careers. 

Featuring the music of Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, & Cole Porter. Thursday, 2/23/17, 7 pm, at the SMHS PAC. Come and listen to the talented students of the BHS & SMHS Choirs perform Broadway, Hollywood and Jazz Standards from the Golden Age of Pop, featuring Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, & Cole Porter, in the February Choir Concert "FASCINATING RHYTHM," under the direction of Shawn Reifschneider. on Thursday, February 23, 2017, 7 pm, at the SMHS PAC. Tickets are $10 for Adults & $5 for Students & Seniors.

Attention Students:
As you may have heard, our District is considering moving the start time for school back by 30 minutes in response to research that indicates that teen health improves with a little more sleep. Soon you will be receiving an email asking you to complete a short survey on this topic.  Please take a few moments to fill it out when you receive the Survey Monkey link.

Teen Poster Contest
Teen Mental Health Awareness is having a poster contest. Your poster will be displayed in the community and there will be a $70 prize for the winner. Submit your poster by Saturday, February 25th    See http://smcl.org/teen-mental-helth-poster-contest/

Spring Sportsmanship Meeting
Come on Monday, February 27th at 6:30pm in the Performing Arts Center. All athletes are required to attend the meeting along with a parent or guardian. Individual team meetings will be following the general meeting.
