Dr. Paul Wruble's Road to College Series - Part 2 Financial Aid and the FAFSA
Aragon High School's New Performing Arts Center
Please note that the Performing Arts Center is located on the Alameda De Las Pulgas side of the campus.
Dr. Paul Wruble will discuss the current state of college financial aid and explain how to fill out the Financial Aid form (FAFSA) required by colleges.
Dr. Wruble is an experienced college and financial aid consultant who will teach participants how to obtain the financial aid award that each student is qualified to receive. He will also discuss he complex CSS Profile required by many competitive universities.
Every college bound family should fill out the FAFSA forms. If you are applying for financial aid OR if your child will be the recipient of any academic scholarship or awards you should attend this event. FAFSA forms will be available. Please bring a writing surface and pencil/pen as we will be filling out the FAFSA form together.

Primer: EXPECT - The Unexpected

In the 19th century, access to higher education was for the elite. In the 20th century, a cultural revolution opened up doors of access. Now, in the 21st century, education and equity is paramount for all. EXPECT the unexpected will present the evolution of education and how students and families can prepare for college in the 21st century.
Overview of the importance of curriculum and academic performance:
- The practice of college admissions ~ what happens behind the scenes?
- The students role in the college planning and admission process
- The admission offices role in the admissions process
- The parents role in the college planning process
- Policy, procedure and finances ~ what governs the admission decision?
- What is the unexpected?
