All of San Mateo High School will be on a modified bell and activity schedule next Wednesday, 10/14 because all 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT exam. Tutorial teachers will provide specific information on where students are to report. Additionally, details for the day can be found on schoolloop and the school website.

Juniors and Seniors
Today the career center will be hosting Evergreen State College. Students interested in attending should pick up a pass in the career center PRIOR to the presentation!

International Food Club
If you love food, join us at our first meeting tomorrow and Friday at lunch in A221.  We have treats waiting for you!

"GRID (Homecoming Dance)"Grid Clearance/Guest Passes
Ready for GRID (Homecoming Dance)? You can now get clearance forms in student services.  Guest passes can be found on the school website.  All forms due Monday, October 19th.

Wrestling meeting:
Anyone interested in signing up for wrestling for the upcoming Winter season, please come to the information meeting with Coach Hyndman on Thursday, October 15 @ lunch in E115. 

Basketball Meeting
There will be a girls basketball meeting Thursday, October 15th during lunch in room A163. Talk to Ms. Dinges if you have any questions.

Baseball Informational Meeting
All students interested in playing baseball for San Mateo High School, Junior Varsity and Varsity, there is an informational meeting with Varsity Baseball Coach Goldstein in room E115 at lunchtime on October 21st

Lost & Found
Please check the lost and found for your belongings.  Everything will be donated at the end of the month.  Lost and Found is in Student Service’s office A130.

Attention seniors
A CSU application workshop will take place next Friday, October 16thDuring Advisory in the flex theater. All seniors applying within the CSU  system are highly encouraged to attend, as a CSU  representative will be present to answer any  questions and provide feedback please pick up your pass in the career center.  

The 77th Annual Youth in Government Day is coming soon - October 15th!
Are you interested in getting involved in Local Government?  Do you want to have a voice on how the City you live in works? What does it take to be a city council member?
To get a Field Trip form, see Ms. Kane. This field trip is limited to 15 students. Forms due today.

Save the Date –  Come support SMHS Chamber Singers 
San Mateo High School and Burlingame High School invite you to join us at the Burlingame Avenue Train Station on Saturday, October 24th for the annual BHS Playathon! Come and support the Pep Band, Jazz Band, and Choir (including SMHS Chamber Singers as our music students perform from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.) Home-baked treats will be on sale all day enjoy mouth-watering cakes, cookies and more as you support music programs for our students. Enter our drawing at event for a chance to win fabulous prizes. You do not need to be present to win. Winners will be announced between 3:30-4:00 pm. Come enjoy a big day of instrumental and vocal music, while supporting Performing Arts at our public schools!
