As we all know, the weather has been incredible lately.  With that said, we must ALL hold to our dress code policy and continue to present ourselves in an academically professional setting. Dress Code violations will be referred to student services.

Our First Perk Rally
Hey Bearcats! Come out to the Quad during lunch on Friday Sep 30th to enjoy The first Perk Rally of the year! Stop by for music, games, and a special performance featuring the award winning choir. Don’t forget to bring your “Perk Cards” to get prizes and treats!

Dance Clearance passes will only be signed during brunch and lunch. NOT during class time.

Math Tutoring Club
Having trouble in math? Need some help with your math homework? Come to the Math Tutoring Club in C111. Our first meeting is next Monday, October 3, during lunch.

Bus Tickets
Students who are in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program can purchase discounted SamTrans bus tickets for the month of October. Please see Mrs. Hickey in the Health Office, A116.

Bring Change 2 Mind
Interested in starting conversations and dispelling myths surrounding mental health?  Help end shame and stigma around campus and create a less judgmental community by joining. Attend the informational meeting in Ms. Dydbahl’s room, E116 on Thursday, September 29th during lunch

The Fly
Fresh Life Lines for Youth Program is a great opportunity for students to become more aware of CA Laws and how they affect them. This is a 12 week program that takes place every Thursday after school in room A147. A hot meal is provided at every meeting.

Message from Mr. Hanson
Attention students, if you are interested in signing up for CSF, (California Scholarship Federation), applications are now open.  Pick up a copy of the application in the Career Center and your application is due September 30th at 3 p.m., with no exceptions.  Your application must include your $5 CSF fee along with your report or copy of your official transcript. Applications can be dropped off in the Career Center.

Attention Brilliant Minds
If you have a brilliant idea related to Science, Technology, Engineering or Math, You need to showcase your project at the STEM FAIR 2017. It will be held at the Hiller Aviation Museum, March 5-7.  There will be an awards ceremony.  Find out more info and register today at stemfair.net

UNICEF club members come by A220 at lunch today to hear about the Trick or Treat initiative and other great volunteer opportunities.

Pic Trip Club
The Pic Trip Club will meet at lunch TODAY in the Media Lab, M127, to plan our Golden Gate Sunset trip. 

Visiting Colleges
Seniors, do you know yet how you’re going to pay to college?  Would you like to learn more about scholarships, grants, and the financial aid process?  Tonight night we will have a special presentation in the biotech building from 7 – 9pm, open to all seniors and their parents.  We’ll have a guest speaker straight from a college financial aid office here to help you learn everything that you’ll need to know for when FAFSA and Dream Act open up on October 1st.  Please see Mr. Hanson to learn more.

Today we will be visited by two colleges.  UC Merced is here right now and at lunch the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University will be here from Minnesota.  On Friday High Point University will be here during lunch.  Stop by the Career Center for a pass.
