Attention Seniors: If you been on cast, crew, or in the pit for one or more shows during your time at San Mateo, please meet in front of the PAC Today, December 7th at the beginning of lunch for a group photo that will go in the program for our winter musical, THE MUSIC MAN. It doesn't matter if you haven't worked on a show since freshman year! We would love to have every senior there! Thanks.
Winter Instrumental Concert
You are cordially invited to come hear the magnificent sounds of our Instrumental Music Department on Today, December 7th @ 7:00 pm SAMPAC. Come out to see and support the Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and Bella Sinfonia.

$5 students/$10 adults. It will be awesome!

The Choirs of Burlingame and San Mateo High Schools Present: Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Mozart!
Come to the winter concert that will include Seasonal Inspired Songs and other choral selections from Classical Composers such as Mozart and Haydn.  It will end with the traditional mass choir singing of “The Hallelujah Chorus”!  Don’t miss this great celebration of the season!

Lifeguarding Job Opportunity
Come to the Quad during lunch on Friday, December 9th, to learn about becoming a Lifeguard or Swim Instructor for the San Mateo YMCA. Help the community by enriching the lives of kids and families. You can earn $12.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Come to Oxfam Jam
Celebrate unity and diversity while enjoying performances by SMHS students & clubs, including Improv and Ukulele Club at our benefit concert, Oxfam jam after school 3-5 in the library on Friday, December 9th! There will be concessions.  All proceeds support refugee relief efforts!

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Art, Essay and Poetry Contest
The 34th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay and Poetry Contest will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2017, from 6-8:30on for students Grades 5-12 at the Martin Luther King Community Center, located at 725 Monte Diablo Ave, San Mateo.  This year’s theme: What does the phrase “Beloved Community” mean to you?  Pick up an application in the Main Office. There are cash prizes.
