34th Annual Dr. MLK, Jr. Essay & Poetry Contest on January 12, 2017/Deadline for Submissions January 6, 2017

Join King Center in collaboration with North Central Neighborhood Association for a night of free expression celebrating the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.! The Essay and Poetry Contest is on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 6-8:30pm at King Community Center, located at 725 Monte Diablo Avenue, San Mateo. Write and recite your poem or essay, and you could be a winner! This year’s theme is “What does the phrase ‘Beloved Community’ mean to you?” Registration forms are available at the King Center, your school, or church. Simply mail or drop off your form at the King Community Center by Friday, January 6, 2017 at 5pm. Join and you’ll have a chance to win a $150 cash prize!
