MAGIC OF MATEO, the 11th Bearcat Benefit - the Annual Dinner and Auction Gala of the San Mateo High School Foundation - will take place on Saturday, October 10th, at the Elegant Bayview Dining Room at the College of San Mateo. 

Auditions for Mock Trials
Interested in Mock Trial? Sign for an audition in M112 or B102! Auditions will take place Today from 3:15-5. Check on Schoolloop for more information!

Attention Students
All clubs wanting to participate in the International Food Fair September 30, come to the mandatory meeting Today in A007 during lunch.

Come to the Spirit Store: Fresh Spirit gear will be sold every Wednesday at lunch.
Detention: All students’ detention will be held tomorrow, 9/9/15.

Color Guard Informational Meeting
Want to represent San Mateo during parades? Interested in learning how to throw a flag, rifle or saber up in the air? Come join the SMHS Color Guards, meeting is Thursday, September 10, at lunch in Music Bldg. -M13.  Food will be provided.  See you there!

Upper Classmen Night will be Friday, September 11th
Come to watch the ‘Incredibles’ and eat tacos. Tickets are on sale this week at lunch for $10. 

Attention juniors and seniors –Cal arts will be speaking in the career center on Tuesday September 15th, during 5th period. Interested in this informative presentation? Pick up a pass in the career center.

Attention sophomores and juniors - the Princeton Review will be having a presentation here at the San Mateo High School Library on Wednesday, September 16th from 6:30-8:00pm. The Presentation will cover all of the upcoming changes to the SAT and also information on the ACT.

Attention seniors -a UC application workshop will be held 7th period in the M building on Thursday, September 17th. All seniors applying within the UC system are encouraged to attend, a UC representative will be present to answer questions and provide essays tips. Questions?  See Ms. Paige in the career center. 

Students on Lunch Program:
If you need any supplies for your classes such as composition books, PE uniforms, jazz shoes, planners, etc. Please see Ms. Shiu. There is no excuse for you to not be prepared for your classes!

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE SAN MATEO HIGH SCHOOL FOUNDATION ABOUT THE MAGIC OF MATEO!

SAVE THE DATE: MAGIC OF MATEO, the 11th Bearcat Benefit - the Annual Dinner and Auction Gala of the San Mateo High School Foundation - will take place on Saturday, October 10th, at the Elegant Bayview Dining Room at the College of San Mateo. 

The SMHS Foundation, the Academic Boosters of the Bearcat Community, raises essential funds to support academic excellence for ALL students at SMHS. The Bearcat Benefit, the main fundraiser for the Foundation, is a time honored tradition at SMHS which brings the entire Bearcat community together for one night with delicious food & drinks, exciting silent and live auctions, and unforgettable performances by SMHS students to raise funds for critical programs and resources at SMHS. Last year's benefit raised more than $110,000 and this year, we hope to raise more with your help!

PLEASE ATTEND THE BENEFIT VOLUNTEER MEETING ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH, FROM 11:30 am to 2 pm at 3685 RALSTON AVENUE IN HILLSBOROUGH where you will get more information about the benefit, and have the opportunity to sign up for one or more subcommittees.
