Mission Statement - Declaración de misión
At the San Mateo High School Library, our priority is to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for SMHS students. The library aims to improve and enrich the lives of our students through information, education and recreation.
En la biblioteca de San Mateo High School, nuestra prioridad es proporcionar un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro y saludable para los estudiantes de SMHS. La biblioteca tiene objetivos para mejorar y enriquecer la vida de nuestros estudiantes a través de información, educación y recreación.
Textbook Rules for Students:
Seniors will not be given their San Mateo High School diplomas until all textbooks have been returned or paid for.
Schedules, diplomas and school privileges, such as Homecoming/Prom may be withheld until all materials are returned or fines/fees have been paid for.
Textbooks for semester-long classes (for example, Government, Economics, or Health) should be turned in after the first semester final because second semester students will need them!
Novels used in English class should be returned as soon as your class is finished with them.

$5 - for Missing Barcode
$5 - for Graffiti, Highlighting, Writing
$10 - for Cover Damage, Loose Binding, Torn or Stained Pages
100% - Cost for Lost or Damaged/Unusable Textbooks
